CTMA names new president

The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association has elected Steve Watson as its new president.

Watson is president of Century Tools & Machinery, Mississauga, Ont., a distributor of tooling and workholding components. He started working at Century Tools in 1995, after graduating from the University of Western Ontario. He achieved his Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and purchased Century Tools in 2008.

In other news from the association, Ray Buxton, general manager of Mazak Canada, was named to the board of directors, and Robert Flack of Hibar Systems, Richmond Hill, Ont., was elected as the new vice president of the CTMA.
