PFERD’s CC-GRIND®-SOLID grinding discs for hard and rough grinding applications feature an integrated glass fibre backing pad combined with high-performance grinding grit and patented cooling and mounting system. The mounting system allows for safe use of the tool at very flat working angles and the optimum use of the abrasives available, while the patented cooling system ensures high air flow and significantly reduces the thermal load on the grinding agent and the workpiece. The disc is flexible, which creates a large surface contact area for reduced risk of gouging the work piece.
The disc reduces dust emissions, noise and vibration by 50% or more. The high-strength layer structure of the glass fibre backing pad guarantees the same use as with a reinforced grinding disc, and the CC-GRIND®-SOLID fulfills all the safety requirements of a reinforced grinding wheel according to DIN EN 12413.
This grinding disc is particularly suitable for the following processing tasks:
■ Surface grinding
■ Weld dressing
■ Chamfering
■ Deburring/edge grinding
■ Machining welding torch burrs
